About International APICTA

The Asia Pacific ICT Awards (APICTA) is an international Awards Programme initiated by the Multimedia Developement Corporation (MDeC) to provide a platform for innovators and entreprenuers in the ICT sectors in the region to benchmark their products and to network. It is also aimed at stimulating economic & trade relations and technology transfer, providing companies with business matching opportunities and exposure to venture capitalists and investors, and increasing community awareness in ICT.

The economies participating in this annual Awards Programme are members of the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance, and they are guided by a Framework of Cooperation that details how member economies work together in support of this Awards Programme, and other programmes and activities for the development and growth of the ICT industry in the region.

Member economies of the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance take turns to host the annual Awards Programme through a bidding process. Nominations to the APICTA Awards are through the representative organizations of each member economy to the Alliance. Each economy selects the winners of their own national ICT Award Programme to be nominated to the international APICTA and judging is through an international panel of judges.

The Awards Programme is organised annually. Please visit our international website at www.apicta.org for information.
