About MSC Malaysia APICTA
The MSC Malaysia Asia Pacific ICT Awards (MSC Malaysia APICTA), under the patronage of the Prime Minister of Malaysia, provides a platform to stimulate creativity, innovation and excellence in ICT in Malaysia, benchmark Malaysian ICT products and solutions, and to recognise outstanding achievements in ICT of students, technopreneurs, SMEs and organisations with operations in Malaysia.
This annual Awards Programme initiated in 1999 by the Multimedia Development Corporation, has evolved from being known as the Asia Pacific MSC IT & Telecommunications Awards (APMITTA) to MSC-Asia Pacific ICT Awards (MSC-APICTA) in 2002 when the international Awards Programme, APICTA, was launched. In line with the rebranding of the MSC (Multimedia Super Corridor) to MSC Malaysia in 2006 to reflect the MSC as a national ICT initiative, the Awards Programme is now known as MSC Malaysia APICTA.
The Winners of MSC Malaysia APICTA receive a trophy and certificate and the most outstanding Winner is selected for the Prime Minister’s “Best of the Best” Award. The Winners represent Malaysia at the international Asia Pacific ICT Awards (APICTA) vying with the national award winners from other economies in the region for the APICTA Awards trophy in the various Award Categories.
The Awards Programme also provides a unique opportunity and ideal environment for individuals and companies to gain local, regional and international exposure through on-going promotional activities.
